Scott Addonizio has spent thirty years in the medical device industry, including expertise in balloon, stent and chronic total occlusion devices, in-depth knowledge of the global coronary and peripheral marketplace, and experience with global quality systems and regulatory environments.
He currently holds the position of COO for MedAlliance LLC., a privately owned medical device company which designs, manufactures, distributes and sells limus coated balloon catheters. He was instrumental in raising investment capital for the continued funding of MedAlliance. He is responsible for operations including quality, manufacturing, and research and development and led the efforts to secure 4 IDE approvals in the US for the SELUTION drug coated balloon.
In addition, he is currently a board member of Simpson Intervention. Prior to MedAlliance, Scott served as a board director of OrbusNeich Medical and was the COO responsible for global operations including sales and marketing. He is the primary patent holder for the “Stent Having Dual Helical Design” and was instrumental in the design of the entire OrbusNeich portfolio. Having spent over fifteen years overseas, the majority of which was in mainland China, Scott has considerable knowledge of key global markets, manufacturing set-up and overseas operations. He was instrumental in driving the growth and business of OrbusNeich by securing contracts with CSI to distribute the Orbital Atherectomy device outside of US and Japan and introducing the OrbusNeich portfolio into the US which included the first ever 1.0mm balloon catheter.
Scott holds a B.S. in Packaging and Materials Engineering from Michigan State University and a Masters in International Business from the University of Miami. Scott enjoys outdoor activities, especially spear fishing, snowboarding and basketball.
