Martha is a General Partner at Cultivation Capital where she focuses on AgriFood Tech investments. She has over 35 years of global life sciences experience leading the identification, development, and commercialization of early to late-stage technologies as an executive at Monsanto, Mallinckrodt and various agricultural startups.
She is currently an Executive in Residence at BioGenerator and is the CEO of Impetus Agriculture, a startup developing multiple topical and transgenic insect control products. She serves as the board chair of Plastomics, a startup creating the next generation of biotech crops using chloroplast engineering where she was previously CEO, and Solis Agrosciences, a startup she co-founded to provide gene editing and crop transformation services. She additionally serves as a board member at Vive Crop Protection, a late-stage startup creating sustainable pesticides.
Martha has a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University.
