Martha is a General Partner at Cultivation Capital where she focuses on making AgriFood Tech investments. She has over 30 years of global life sciences experience leading the identification, development, and commercialization of early to late-stage technologies as an executive at Monsanto and startups in the agricultural sustainability space. She has served as CEO of multiple AgriFood Tech startups including Plastomics and Impetus Ag.
She is currently an Executive in Residence at BioGenerator, a St. Louis-based early-stage venture fund. She serves as the board chair of Plastomics, a startup creating the next generation of biotech crops using chloroplast engineering, and Solis Agrosciences, a startup she co-founded to provide gene editing and crop transformation services. She serves as a board member at Vive Crop Protection, a startup creating sustainable pesticides, and Impetus Ag, a company developing multiple topical and transgenic insect control products.
Martha has a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University.
